Understand the assembly issues of cement pipe molds before use

Before using the cement pipe mold, assembly is required. What specific steps are needed for assembly? Below, we will provide a detailed explanation to help you understand these issues clearly.
Here are the specific steps for assembling cement pipe molds:

  1. The dimensional deviation of the assembled pipe mold shall be less than the allowable tolerance requirements for each part of the pipe of the given specification. There should be no visible gaps at both ends and the joint seam, and the fasteners connecting the various parts shall be securely fastened.
  2. The bottom plate of the vertical vibration and core-forming tube mold should be flat, with sealing measures between the inner and outer molds and the bottom plate as well as the joint seams. The inner and outer molds must be perpendicular to the bottom plate and accurately positioned.   
  3. The inner wall of the pipe mold must be cleaned thoroughly, removing any residual cement slurry. The inner wall of the pipe mold, as well as the retaining ring and base plate, should be coated with a release agent.   
  4. The isolation agent can be selected from oils, emulsified oils, rosin soaps, and the like. The basic requirements are non-adhesion and no contamination of the pipe wall, good film-forming properties, ease of application, and strong adhesion to steel molds.   
  5. Wax mold release. The wax layer on the inner wall of the pipe mold should be formed by centrifugation, requiring uniform thickness and a smooth surface. The inner diameter of the wax layer must meet the pipe outer diameter size requirements. Depending on regional and seasonal temperature variations, different melting points of paraffin wax should be selected, typically using pure paraffin wax with a melting point above 54°C. The wax temperature must not fall below a certain level. In high temperatures during summer, the wax layer should be cooled to ensure adequate hardness, while in low temperatures during winter, the pipe mold should be preheated to prevent wax layer brittleness.
  6. Before installing the steel skeleton into the pipe formwork, ensure its specifications and dimensions are correct, with uniform and accurate protective layer gaps. The steel skeleton should generally remain secure within the assembled pipe formwork. When using wax for formwork release, protective measures must be taken to prevent scratches on the wax during the installation of the steel skeleton into the pipe formwork.
